Police at west London train stations

I welcome the Mayor’s announcement of 50 more British Transport Police patrolling trains and stations in outer London including at Acton Mainline, Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Southall, Drayton Green, Castle Bar Park, Greenford and South Greenford.
Commenting, Mr Barnes said:

I am delighted that Boris is taking seriously the safety of people travelling in my constituency.

Low level crime can blight people’s lives. This is why the new teams of transport police are so important in providing visible reassurance to rail passengers. They will be introduced in the next few months, ensuring that passengers at stations and on trains in Ealing can feel safe and secure when they travel.

If we are encouraging people onto public transport, it is crucial that they can use the trains without fear of crime or intimidation.
