London Mayor and Minister for Disabled People to Speak at Disability Capital Conference

The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson and Minister for Disabled, Maria Miller head an impressive line-up of leading policy makers and Paralympic athletes who will be speaking at the Mayor of London’s Disability Capital Conference, to be held at ExCel on 20 October 2011.

Disability Capital Conference is a unique opportunity for delegates to engage with London’s most senior policy makers. The programme and speakers will cover critical issues affecting the disabled and deaf communities in London. Topics will range include Olympic legacy, transport, hate crime, volunteering, London debt strategy and putting disability equality in practice.

It will also be an opportunity to meet London 2012 Paralympic Athletes, hear about their experiences and find out how you can get involved in developing GLA strategies to meet your needs.

The conference has attracted an extremely high calibre and impressive line-up of speakers who will provide valuable insight, highlight new initiatives and tackle the key issues of the day before taking questions from the floor.
